Southern Sea Ventures specialises in sea kayak holidays, offering a diverse range of sea kayak adventures from the Pacific to the Mediterranean to the Polar Regions. We first began operating sea kayak tours in 1988 in Fiji and Australia and have steadily grown to offer a range of camping and ship based tours all around the world. Our fleets of single and double sea kayaks allow us easy and intimate access to some of the world's most beautiful coastlines, secluded tropical islands, and unforgettable polar landscapes.
Warm water trips include Fiji, Palawan, Tonga, Australia, Panama, Turkey and Croatia. Cold water trips and polar itineraries aboard our expedition ships include Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falklands, Norway, Scotland and Faroes, Spitsbergen and Greenland. We have seven new and exciting trips in 2010, taking our total trips on offer to 20! Our new trips include kayaking in Scotland and the Faroe Islands, Norway, Palawan in the Phillipines, Panama, two additional adventures in the Croatian Adriatic and one in Turkey and a fabulous coastal exploration up the coast of Norway combined with Spitsbergen. We have added more single kayaks to many of our destinations but maintain some doubles for couples and safety reason. Our ship-based trips are predominantly doubles with a few singles due to the storage space available on the ship. Flash!! There are currently some fantastic airfares on offer to Fiji. Take advantage while you can! Upcoming Trips! Fiji, Hinchinbrook, Tonga, Croatia and Turkey. STAY TUNED for 5 brand new 2011 Russian Itineraries including the rarely seen North East Passage. Two spaces available for Greenland this year - get in quick! Our kayak holidays are fully catered and feature small groups, remote destinations and very experienced guides. We have an active concern for the environment and the countries and cultures that we visit. Our expedition ship 'Polar Pioneer' provides a comfortable base for our fleets of sturdy kayaks. Polar Pioneer takes us to the Antarctic, South Georgia, High Arctic, Greenland, Scotland and Norway. Al Bakker, Founder |
